iCET presents at the 5th World Bioenergy Symposium

On September 15th -17th , 2010, the 5th World Bioenergy Symposium(WBS) was held at Suzhou BioBAY, China, as a leading think-tank to promote low carbon and sustainable bio-fuels in China, iCET was kindly invited. Mr. Robert Earley, Low Carbon Transportation Program Manager of iCET, gave a presentation entitled “Transportation Fuel Lifecycle GHGs Emissions Assessment Standards and Low Carbon Fuels Policy in China" at the panel of “Life-Cycle Analysis and Sustainability of Biofuel Production”, sharing iCET’s experience on developing low carbon fuel standards and policies.

iCET joins US-China Clean Vehicle Research

September 2nd, 2010, U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu announced that two universities will receive a total of $25 million under the U.S.-China Clean Energy Research Center (CERC). The University of Michigan's award will advance technologies for clean vehicles. iCET proudly joined the Michigan team and will engage in clean vehicle policy-related research and analysis.

iCET shares energy and climate change experiences with young leaders

n July 12 -13, iCET attended “The 2nd International Youth Summit on Energy and Climate Change” (IYSECC 2010) in Shanghai. The theme of the second annual IYSECC is: “Green Future, Youth Action”. As the judge for “Regional Research Competition” and the guest speaker of “Low Carbon Transportation” theme, iCET’s low carbon transportation project officer Liping Kang shared experiences with young people from China and all over the world on transportation energy and climate change issues.
