iCET's BestEV v1.0 qualitative criteria calibration conducted on the Earth Day in conjunction with Beijing NEV Test Drive Center opening ceremony

iCET joined the opening ceremony of the Beijing New Energy Vehicle Test Driving which was held on April 22, Earth Day, in the Beijing Automobile Museum by the Beijing New Energy Automotive Development Promotion Center, Beijing Automobile Museum, and Beijing New Energy Auto Experience Center. By organizing the BestEV final qualitative criteria illustration (v1.0) through text drives questionnaires and a focused group, iCET and its partners calibrated the accuracy and impact of its newly established BestEV system for enhancing EV adoption in China.

iCET introduces its newly formed Big-Data and Sustainable Transportation Program to WB specialists

iCET was invited to introduce the "Transportation in the Era of Big Data: Public-Private Cooperation on Transportation Data" project at the World Bank Brown Bag Lunch meeting on April 18th in Washington DC. Hosted by the Urban Mobility GSG, Green Transport and ICT department of World Bank, Dr. An Feng, founder and executive director of iCET, introduced the initial results of the new project "Live-cycle Analysis on Urban Transportation: Pilot Analysis of Chengdu, China" while Mr. Alex Morales, a dedicated LiveCycle project team member, introduced the Live-Cycle big-data generated methodology for a global value chain (GVC).

iCET holds its first China Urban Transportation Emissions Calculator workshop in Guangzhou

iCET was invited to hold its first China Urban Transportation Emissions Calculator (CUTEC PV v1.0) workshop as part of the UK-South China Low-Carbon Development Week. Speakers included UK Climate Change and Energy Consul, iCET's president, director and officer, E4Tech's consulting manager, Shenzhen Transportation design and Research Institute, and Sun Yet-Sen University Transportation Air Quality Center.

iCET presents its EV work and make concluding remarks at the Shenzhen E-mobility Workshop

iCET was invited to share its EV mobility work areas and study results in the Shenzhen E-mobility Workshop - Information and Scenarios on March 13 in Shenzhen University Town. The workshop was designed to discuss the outcomes of a two-year long study titled Low Carbon Innovation in China - Prospects, Politics & Practice, which was jointly conducted by Lancaster University and Tsinghua Shenzhen Graduate School. Maya Ben Dror, the Director of iCET’s Clean Transportation Transformation Program, shared the recent BestEV project progress and EV choice preferences approach and also made concluding remarks at the workshop closing session.

iCET holds a BestEV qualitative questionnaire testing through an EV test drive and focused-group

On the morning of March 8, iCET held a consumer EV test-drive trial and focused group in a BAIC Beijing sales store (4S) for assessing the qualitative questionnaire design part of the newly developed BestEV methodology. The BestEV is an EV performance ranking system that relies on both quantitative criteria and qualitative criteria obtained through reported data and voluntary public participation respectively. The initial qualitative criteria were developed through meta analysis followed by a Delphi Method and consensus development conferencing in which over 30 EV experts from the public, private and academic sector participated.
