News I iCET's BestEV v1.0 qualitative criteria calibration conducted on the Earth Day in conjunction with Beijing NEV Test Drive Center opening ceremony
iCET joined the opening ceremony of the Beijing New Energy Vehicle Test Driving which was held on April 22, Earth Day, in the Beijing Automobile Museum by the Beijing New Energy Automotive Development Promotion Center, Beijing Automobile Museum, and Beijing New Energy Auto Experience Center. By organizing the BestEV final qualitative criteria illustration (v1.0) through text drives questionnaires and a focused group, iCET and its partners calibrated the accuracy and impact of its newly established BestEV system for enhancing EV adoption in China.
Participants included the Analysis Director of China Automotive Engineering Research Institute, Mr. Yang Binyu, Market Research Director of China Automotive Technology Research Center, Mr. Wang Cheng , Vice President of Marketing and Communications of Beijing Dianzhuang, Mr. Zhang Biyun, Media Manager and Deputy Editor of the Auto Motor Sport, Mr. Wen Lin and Mr. Zhu Dan, WildAid Project Officers, Ms. Zhong Hui and Ms. Jenny Du, D1EV EV testing editor, Mr. Xu Bo, Beijing Carbon Stop Managing Consultant, Ms. Chen Xu, and other respected industry experts. Participants attended activities, including the Auto Expo, Beijing's first independent EV test drive and ride center, and the BestEV questionnaire refining focused-group session
iCET Clean Transportation Program Manager, Ms. Kang Liping, introduced the BestEV system, its methodology and marketing plans towards the guided BestEV qualitative criteria calibration discussion. Participates shared their own experiences in an attempt to enhance the credibility and relevancy of the consumer-based BestEV performance evaluation platform in increasing EV demand volume and quality of EV supply. Participants actively engaged in the event by test driving and riding Denza, JAC iEV5, Geely EV, ZDEV, BYD e6, and other models.
BestEV is China's first fully transparent and methodological EV performance criteria evaluation system. The BestEV methodology was scientifically developed throughout the second half of 2015 and its calibration is guided by a voluntary committee of auto-related experts from the academic, public, media and private sectors in China. Furthermore, the BestEV is designed as an open and collaborative platform aimed at accelerating EV demand and improving the quality and variety of China's EV supply.
