iCET gives presentation at 2009 Lifecycle Assessment Management Conference
November 16th, 2009 – The 2009 Lifecycle Assessment Management Conference was held at the Xijiao Hotel in Beijing, with nearly all major Chinese the lifecycle assessment research institutes and organizations as well as some foreign institutes in attendance. Liping Kang, iCET's Low Carbon Transportation Program Research Analyst, was invited to give a presentation on transportation fuel greenhouse gas emission lifecycle analysis.

The Second Draft standard Committee Meeting for "The principles and requirements of LCA for transportation fuel GHGs emissions"
November 12th, 2009 - The second standards draft Committee meeting for "The principles and requirements of lifecycle assessment for transportation fuel greenhouse gas emission", which is the first standard for transportation lifecycle assessment, was held in Beijing. Committee experts from Tsinghua University, China Coal Research Institute, China Academy of Sciences, Petrochina, COFCO, iCET and China National Institute of Standardization (CNIS) discussed the revised draft standards.

October 20th-22nd, 2009 – The 2009 China Biodiesel Industry Development Conference & The Fourth China Biodiesel Industry Association Annual Conference was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu province. Robert Earley, iCET's Low Carbon Transportation Program Manager, was invited to give a presentation entitled "China Low Carbon Fuel Standards and Policies".

iCET attended Governors' Global Climate Change Summit 2
September 30-October 2, 2009, iCET was invited to attend the second Governors' Global Climate Change Summit and contribute to panel organization and discussion on China low-carbon development in Los Angeles, California. iCET gave presentations on three panels: Update from China on Low Carbon Development, M-R-V: Cornerstone of the Global Carbon Market, and Low Carbon Zones and Sectoral Approaches.

iCET facilitates and summaries the first Sino-U.S. Electric Vehicle Forum
On September 29th, 2009 - China Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and US Department of Energy (DOE) held the first Sino-U.S. Electric Vehicle forum in Beijing. As a DOE representative, it's a great honor for iCET to participate in the forum and complete the summary for the forum at the request of US DOE. This forum not only gathered the best minds and practitioners in the electric vehicle fields in both US and China, but also provided an excellent platform for participants to connect each other, build relationships, and exchange ideas.
