News I iCET participated in the 5th meeting of NEA-TC/22 as a standing committee member

The fifth meeting of NEA-TC/22 was held at COFCO Beijing Research Institute on November 26, 2015. iCET’s Clean Transportation Manager Liping Kang, a standards’ standing committee member, attended the meeting which was was initiated by China National Energy Administration to develop bio-liquid fuel product and standards for promoting the sustainable development of the Biofuel industry.

Three draft biofuel standards were discussed and approved following a review process that commenced earlier this year, including 1) Algae oil as a feedstock for the biodiesel, 2) Biofuel production and management guidelines, 3) Waste oil as feedstock for biodiesel. iCET has been introducing low carbon and sustainable biofuel standards and encouraging biofuel policy and technical development communication and collaboration in China and aboard since 2007. The approval process acknowledges iCETs review and suggestions.
