News I iCET organizes Zero Emissions Vehicles (ZEVs) workshop in Beijing and Shenzhen

Shenzhen DRC commissioned iCET to research and host a workshop regarding Zero Emissions Vehicle (ZEV). The introduction and study report along with the recommendation paper developed by iCET, served as part of its ZEV credits project.They were introduced to local NEV stakeholders during the workshop, which was held in Shenzhen’s government building. ZEV stakeholder from Shenzhen were engaged in the workshop that was co-organized with Shenzhen Low-Carbon Development Foundation (SCDF) and supported by the Shenzhen DRC. The workshop provided local stakeholders with best-practices and lessons learnt from the leading California ZEV-Credits program. It also offered recommendations for local mandate development, and enabled stakeholder engagement and discussion regarding the promotion of ZEVs in China.Over 30 experts, officials, and industry representatives participated in the workshop.

Governmental participants included: Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission (DRC), Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, Bureau of Transport, Environmental Exchange (ETS). Other experts were: China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC),and Automobile Associations. Industry representatives ranged from EV auto manufacturers to infrastructure and operators, including: China Southern Power Grid, Potevio, Optimum Nano Energy Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Auto Motion Electric Power Equipment Co., Ltd., BYD Company Limited, Tesla Motors Limited, Shenzhen Wuzhou Long Motor Co., BMW Auto, Chery Auto.
