iCET attends China’s 4th Technical Committee on the Energy Industry bio-liquid Fuel Conversion Process (NEA/TC22) meeting and reviewed six bio-liquid fuel standards

The fourth committee meeting of China’s Technical Committee on the Energy Industry bio-liquid Fuel Conversion Process (NEA/TC22) was held on October 23-24, in Shandong Province - where China’s first commercial cellulosic ethanol project is located. As the only NGO working on biofuel research in China,iCET was invited by the National Energy Administration (NEA) to engage in biofuel standard strategy planning and drafts review.

Ms. Kang Liping, iCET’s project manager, represented the organization as standing committee expert and participated in the annual 2014 summary, 2015 work plan introduction, and the review of six draft NB/T standards. These included: The standard of corncob derivatives as raw bio-liquid fuel material; Cellulose evaluation methods for bio-liquid fuel ethanol preparation; criterion for bioliquid fuel Saccharomyces cerevisiae; a feasibility study report on the processing and conversion project for the bio-liquid fuel field; a design package for processing and conversion for biomass liquid fuels; and project implementation management for bio liquid fuels.
