News I iCET Moderates Asia Diesel Emission Conference

Feb 22nd-23rd, 2011, the Asia Diesel Emission Conference was held in Grand Hyatt Beijing. It is the third time for iCET to be invited to participate in this annual meeting. Dr. Feng An, President & Executive Director of iCET, moderated a panel discussion entitled "The Future Diesel Passenger Car Market in China". Dr. Axel Fredrich from Germen Federal Agency of Environment, Michael P. Walsh from ICCT and Dr. Dominik Declercq of ACEA contributed to the discussion. Panelists discussed diesel car’s future in China. iCET's Low Carbon Transportation Manager Mr. Robert Earley hosted another panel  "Solution for Diesel Fuel Shortage in China". Mr. Du Fangci from CAAM, Dr. Zhu Huang from Cherry Automobile, Ms. Liu Lingli from Sinopec and Mr. Claudio Operti from Weichai Power Ltd. attended the panel and discussed advantages' and disadvantages of electric vehicles and alternative fuel as substitutes for diesel fuel.
