News I iCET presents at the Navigating the American Carbon World (NACW) 2014 and delivers speech
From March 26 – 28,Navigating the American Carbon World (NACW) Conference was held successfully in San Francisco. Navigating the American Carbon World (NACW) is the longest running and most anticipated conference for discussing climate policy and carbon markets. It has a well-established history of providing the most comprehensive and recent information on the year’s most pressing topics.
NACW 2014 explores the advancement of climate solutions – like the future growth and expansion of California’s historic cap-and-trade program. The conference also focuses on other established and emerging carbon markets around the world, the status of potential linkages between markets, national climate change policy and other innovative environmental initiatives.
As a guest speaker, iCET's president Dr. Feng An was invited to attend the panel with the theme "International policy formulation and program development" at the conference. He discussed the recent development of greenhouse gas trading systems around the world with participants, especially the seven pilot carbon trading platforms in China, as well as the formation of "new market mechanisms" in other developing countries. He also discussed the possible relationship between the interconnection of these systems in the future.
