News I iCET is interviewed by various media platforms for providing its views on China's first Corporate Average Fuel Consumption reporting disclosure.
In May 2014 China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) published corporate average fuel consumption data for the first time, aiming at increasing fuel economy management and transparency. As a long-term promoter and supporter of governmental fuel economy policies design and implementation in China, iCET was approached by various media platforms for providing its views on the new government initiative. Among these, iCET's transport program officer Ms. Kang Liping provided an interview to China's leading auto magazine, China's Auto Review.
According to iCET's initial analysis, China's 2013 corporate average fuel consumption stood at 7.22L/100km, well above China’s 2020 target of 5L/100km. However, as China's JVs scored an average of 7.3L/100km, independent domestic manufacturers already reached 6.95L/100km, and importing brands averaged as much as 9.05L/100km, it seems that each corporate type would be able utilize its capacities and easily meet China's 2015 6.9L/100km average corporate fuel consumption target.
