Approved by the Standardization Administration of China (SAC) and led by China Quality Certification Center (CQC), China's Bioenergy Sustainability Standard Working Group held its first kick-off meeting on June 16th, 2016 at China International Conference Center for Science and Technology. iCET was invited as the Committee's sole NGO, with iCET's Clean Transportation Manager Ms. Kang Liping serving as its technical consultant.

iCET has been introducing international experience on biofuel sustainability standards and mechanisms into China since 2010, published a series related reports and hosted training sessions to educate Chinese stakeholders and support the sustainable development of China's biofuel industry.
